Enchantments, well hell, what was she to do about that? Her extra sensitive senses and genitically engineered body might have gotten her past the elves patrolling the forrest, but nothing in her repetoire of skills was any good at all against enchantments. And it was pretty obvious that the elf before her wouldn't help her to obtain the item from his people. And if she did not satisfy his curiosity, she might just find herself and her people facing charges from the woodland people.
"Well that leaves me with little hope of securing the item I need from your people, now doesn't it? Unless you know of any other place in this world where I can find a talisman designed to hide one's identity? If you can supply me with that information I'd gladly leave these woods and never return to bother your people again." It was a leading question, she knew. One designed to quench his curiosity just enough while leading his attention away from the fact that she had fully intended to steal the item in question from them.

"Well, that's a rather particular and peculiar item you're looking for, young lady." Lore states politely, looking pensive. "Powerful magic is required to sustain such an effect, and it often comes with a heavy price. I know of such a 'talisman' as you call it, but it isn't amongst our archives currently." he continued, slipping out of tent and landing deftly on the ground below.
"We have loaned it personally to a good friend of our tribe, a dawn-faerie prince." Lore chuckled, smiling softly. "One nasty little bugger though, can't say I want to know what sort of mischief he's up to. But, we find him, we find the talisman." He stated, pausing.
"Then, we bargain." he stated, the insinuation very apparent and making it clear he knew her original intention.

Bargain, hmmm, well she could surely come up with something he wanted. If not she'd steal something. Anything would be worth finding an object that would finally bring her the peace she so dearly desired. Years of running from the Infinity Corp. had become tiring and it was about time she let herself rest for a bit.
"And you'd be willing to help me find this Prince and retrieve the object?" she asked hesitantly. She wasn't used to relying on others. The gypsies were her people but she didn't even fully trust them. But if he was willing, she'd have to be insane not to accept. "If so I'd greatly appreciate your aid, and do my utmost to find something worthy of bargaining for."

Lore nodded politely, bowing slightly to the girl in a very diplomatic manner. "With no intention of offending you, I dare say without me you would quite assuredly never find my dear friend, the good prince Vissiel Thorneblade." he explained, checking to ensure that his drum was secured as he liked, and then checking his club in turn.
"Though I use the term 'good' very loosely when referring to a fae." he added passively, flicking a bit of hair out of his face. "And I do apologize for being so unpresentable, it's quite embarrassing." Lore was clearly unaware of the fact that a non-elf would probably find absolutely wrong with his overly-perfect appearance.
"Right then, we may as well be off then. Prince Thorneblade does much of his work in the night. Oh, and in regard to finding something to bargain with, elves often say that a long journey is a guarantee of ultimate treasures."

At the mention of treasure a sparkle seemed to enter her eyes. Though she had only been among the gypsies for a few years, their ways had most assuredly rubbed off on her. And mention of anything valuable always perked up her senses.
"Ah well then, if treasure is what we seek you'd be hard pressed to keep me away, good elf." With that she curtsied graciously tilting her head demurely letting him see her more refined side that she usually kept hidden around her gypsy band. The Infinity Corp had taught her well how to blend into any situation and with any style of people. "Let me formerly introduce myself. Megan Lance, at your disposal. Those who know me well call me Meg."

"Well, since I do not yet know you well, Megan will suffice." Lore responded in time, looking off behind her and snapping his fingers before motioning to shoo off an approaching sentry. His authority was well enough to put the elf-guard at ease, and he quickly went back to his patrols.
"I am Lore, historian and record keeper for the elves of Espireth T'iell." He added politely, starting off to the north. "We best be going, it isn't far, but going much later is far too dangerous."

She noticed his hand motion and smiled inwardly at his sending the sentry away. At least she's avoid punishment this night.
"Well then, let us be off with all haste. I'm curious to see what this Faerie Prince you speak of might be like. I've never ran into one of those before," she answered amiably as she turned to step in beside him matching his pace as they left towards the north.
