It's okay; I mean, I don't have a passion and my opinion is very biased since I have played piano most of my life. But guitar gives you calluses on your finger tips of the hand you don't write with, because of the strings. An electric guitar is easier to play (or an electic acoustic) because the strings are metal, but they are softer. The plastic acoustic ones hurt my fingers after a while. I have never gotten any calluses. The skin on my left hand is a little tough, but otherwise...I have pianist hands! ^___^ But guitar is very pretty to listen to; it ranks up there with my favorite music to listen to.

I once played the piano, but I swear I wouldn't remember how nowadays... all I ever really played was stuff from The Nutcracker (my sister is a ballerina...that would be what I play, right?) and Swan Lake. I was never really any good though. But I did know how once... back in the day

lol, aww Idril.
My sister is taking ballet, too...so I will probably end up learning to play the majority of her songs when she gets into the classical music ballet.
Piano is horribly fun for me. And I usually slouch when I'm doing stuff, but it's ingrained in my brain that I have to sit up straight when I play. Mostly because, about three years ago at my last recital (I haven't taken official lessons in a long time), my dad recorded me playing on a video tape and I was slouching, and my dress was kind of low cut so it looked awful. *cries* So now, it's like...I sit up straight without realizing it.

I want to try guitar sometime. I want to learn electric and play rock music. I love the guitars on some bands. The bass in Pink Floyd is to die for.

I can't live without it, I know that. Sure, there are days at a time I don't touch the piano, but those are the days I'm either gone, too busy, or blasting my music in my room.
One of my friends is a really good guitarist. She mainly plays by ear. If anyone listens to the band Fall Out Boy and has heard their song "Nobody puts baby in the corner," she picked out the strum pattern and chords for the first part of the song. On her own. And she has an old electric guitar she dabbles on a lot, writes her own songs and stuff. she's really good, and she's learning to play the piano, too.
