It's fun, though can annoy the people around you. *cough*littlesister*coughcough* Nooo, I'd never say anything negative about my sister. lol
I once saw this thing on TV about a guy who played the water jars. Filled up jars with different levels of water and played William Tell. It was so freaking awesome. That guy was amazing, truely gifted.

Yeah, those can be pretty neat. I was in band for about half a year for the flute (which I loved), but I was convinced the band teacher hated me and I quit. So did half the school. I tried piano and that didn't really work out. So now I'm onto electric guitar, which I like. I take out my anger on it, even though I play like crap.
I sing, though. That's musical.

lol, yeah, singing is musical. I sing, too, but I sound weird when I hear myself. In my own humble opinion, I don't think I sound good. Anyway...my dad was playing the piano last night; he learned most of his stuff by ear. It's pretty impressive because he knows quite a few songs and it's like...wow. lol Any Final Fantasy fans in this thread?! If so, in FFVII, you remember Sephiroth's battle theme, One Winged Angel? I have the Reborn version of it (Nobuo Uematsu-san's concert version) and it's like...there is this tangible love-hate relationship between me and that song. I looooove it to pieces, but it's just like, freaking impossible to play! There are a couple parts where you're playing 3-6 notes in the span of one frickin beat, at a furioso tempo of over 120! O.o I just usually skip that part because I'll get frustrated at it. I know I need to play it, slowly, to get the hang of it, but it's so annoying...then there is another part where, in the left hand, you're playing D, Eb, Db, Eb, D, Eb, Db; D, Eb, D, D, D, Eb, Db, and in the right hand, you're playing chromatically from a really high F down to the E about middle C. Meaning, you hit every single note between high F to E...flats/sharps and white keys...It's like, INSANE!! And sooooo sorry if I lost you all there...I'm really passionate about this song to the point of almost obsessing over getting it right! I think I played that one part ONCE successfully, reeeeaaaally slowly.

Errr... I guess you could call me a musician. I'm learning how to play guitar (can currently read tab, play several chords, and have memorized 1 1/2 songs). I'm working on getting better though...

Yay for guitarists. I think they are so neat for some reason. Probably because they can do something I can't very well...I just don't have the talent for it, really. Has anyone heard that song "Letters To You" by Finch? They're a punk band...really neat. But anyway, the acoustic version of that song is so cool. ;D One song I would loooove to figure out the music for is Better Days, by the Goo Goo Dolls...it's their single for their upcoming album. It's so beautiful... -sighs- Anyone who watches CNN may have heard it for the Hurricane Katrina relief. It's on one of the videos. But they cut out the bridge! That's like the best part of the song!! Feh. I'm a huge GGD fan. lol The only song I can play on the guitar is by them - it's Black Balloon.

Yay for Pianists! I play the piano, acoustic guitar, and flute (not very good). I've been playing piano for about 12 years now and I'm addicted to it. My favourist pianist is Chopin, but my favourite piece to play is Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. I also love to play jazz and blues. I really miss my big piano at home, but seeing how it doesn't fit into my dorm room, i have my keyboard leaning against the wall....(don't worry, i checked it out with the music store, having it on its side won't damage it....) I also sing, i love to sing. I did Canadian Idol, can't say it was fun, not a good person at waiting (especially for like 10 hours...) I love horsebacking riding too ladyidril, and i've fallen so many times too ( i actually had to go to physiotherapy to fix my back). Wow, i didn't think that there were that many musicians in this forum, that's craziness. Ting
